Watlow's Singapore facility receives ISO9001:2008 certification
Watlow, a designer and manufacturer of electric heaters, controllers and temperature sensors, said its Singapore facility is now certified as a ISO 9001:2008 compliant organization.
The certification is accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) and was registered on Feb 1, 2011 by the AJA Registrars Limited.
To become certified as ISO 9001:2008 compliant, Watlow Singapore underwent four months of extensive preparation process that included the development of new processes, documentation, training and internal audit.
The process culminated in a comprehensive registration audit by the AIA Registrars Limited and Watlow's Singapore facility passed the audit with 100% conformance.
ISO 9001:2008 specifies the basic requirements for a quality management system (QMS) which a company must fulfill to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that enhance customer satisfaction and meet applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
