Thaifex-World of Food Asia 2011 off to a strong show

Thaifex-World of Food Asia 2011 is set to receive strong international support with the presence of 20 country and regional pavilions, thanks to strong Asian market and Thailand's regained stability.

The show will be held from 25 to 29 May 2011 at Impact Exhibition Center in Bangkok, Thailand.

Over 1,000 exhibitors are expected at the trade fair this year, covering food production, catering and hospitality services, food technology and retail and franchise.

Show organizers Koelnmesse, the Department of Promotion Thailand and Thai Chamber of Commerce said they expect more than 22,000 trade visitors from around the world to attend the show.

As Thailand restores its credence, growing exhibitor confidence is evident in the positive representation of 20 country and regional pavilions from Brunei, Cambodia, China, Europe, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, the Netherlands and the US.

Indonesia will participate in a country pavilion for the first time.

Meanwhile, the South Korean presence has more than doubled by 100% from 2010 with three new regional groups participating this year, making this the largest growth in a country group since the inception of this trade fair.
