Tetra Pak acquires Scanima A/S mixer division

Tetra Pak says it has acquired the assets of Scanima A/S Mixer Division from Denmark-based Scanima A/S, a provider of mixing solutions and spiral solutions.

The acquisition will provide Tetra Pak with efficient and accurate mixing equipment that ensures a higher and more uniform product quality and increases turnout capacity, particularly for complex ingredients used in the manufacture of high-quality foods such soups, sauces, dressings and beverage products.

The acquisition is part of Tetra Pak’s strategy to develop complete production lines.

Based on the acquisition agreement, 58 employees will be transferred to the newly formed company Tetra Pak Scanima A/S.

The Scanima Freezer Division will continue to operate under the company name of Scanico A/S.
