Taiyo announced that its Sunphenon manufacturing facility, Taiyo Green Power in Wuxi, China, achieved an NSF Food Safety, Quality and Food Defense Audit Score over 95, as audited by Cook & Thurber.

A score over 95 is classified as meeting or exceeding audit expectations.

“NSF’s recognition of our manufacturing process, adherence to regulatory compliance and attention to quality and safety further increases the comfort level of customers looking to fortify their products with high quality green tea ingredients,” says Scott Smith of Taiyo.

The company provides ingredients to customers in the food and supplement industries.

Sunphenon is produced from pesticide controlled green tea leaf to assure compliance with stringent USFDA residual pesticide regulations.

This fully compliant material is extracted via a water infusion process and decaffeinated using approved FDA methods.

No chloroform or other illegal solvents are used in the processing of any extracts.
