Solae raises the bar on soya protein nuggets

Solae introduced ingredients for creating protein nuggets at Health Ingredients Europe 2010 for the health and wellness market.

High protein nugget Supro Nugget 570 is said to be the first soya nugget on the market that combines protein and grains in a single nugget.

It is 90% protein on a dry weight basis, making it the highest containing soy protein nugget currently on the market.

It offers formulation flexibility for food manufacturers to achieve high levels of protein while optimizing taste, texture and nutrition.

Meanwhile, multigrain nugget Supro Nugget 173, comprised of 60% soy protein and 40% multigrain (rice, oat, and barley) for use in bars, snacks, baked goods and cereals.
