SIAB: International visitors up by 20%
With 38,000 visitors in five days, strong attendance from regions in the South of Italy and a 20% increase in international operators, Siab – International Techno Bake Exhibition closed its ninth edition recently and is making ready for the mission to South America from June 7-10, 2011 in São Paulo.
As preparations are already underway for the transfer to Brazil, where the bakery, pastry, confectionery, pasta and pizza field is expanding and the most sought after technologies are Italian, Siab at VeronaFiere posted results in line with professional attendance at the 2007 edition and an improvement in visitor quality parameters.
The event involved not only by bakers, pizza chefs, pastry cooks and masters of bakery, pastry, confectionery, pasta and pizza but also operators from industry and large-scale distribution, who joined the traditional protagonists in the small business field to turn Siab into a landmark for the "grain-based food" sector.
The exhibition this year saw 400 exhibitors from 11 countries.
