Sensient Technologies Corp opens new facilities in China

Sensient Technologies Corp has opened new facilities in Guangzhou and Shanghai, China. The 62,000-square-foot location in Guangzhou includes a four-story office and laboratory building, a manufacturing plant and a fragrance building. The laboratories include a flavor creation center, a pharmaceutical laboratory, a color research center and a quality control lab. The company's warehouses for raw materials and finished products have also been completed. These facilities will produce colors, flavors, pharmaceutical coatings and fragrances, primarily for the Chinese market. The company has also opened a technical center and sales office in Shanghai, China. The technical center features laboratory equipment and an ultra high temperature process pilot plant. Customers will be able to custom-tailor and sample food and beverages with colors and flavors in an application kitchen. The facilities in both locations add to the company’s presence in Qingdao, Beijing and Hong Kong.
