RUSSIAN FEDERATION JOINS UN FAO

Russia has become a member of the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), which helps developing countries fight hunger. Previously, the Russian Federation had the status of 'Observer'. It takes on the rights of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR).
