Rockwell Automation to acquire Chinese process solutions integrator

Rockwell Automation says it has reached an agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets and business of Xi'An Hengsheng Science & Technology Company Limited, a privately held engineering firm.

The firm delivers automation solutions to the electrical power and other heavy process industries in China.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The acquisition is expected to be completed during the first calendar quarter of 2009 subject to satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
