Rockwell Automation’s white paper offers advice on safety programs

Like driving, personnel in a manufacturing facility must monitor their own safety and be aware of how they are affected by the at-risk behaviors of co-workers, according to a white paper released by Rockwell Automation.

The automation company said its latest report "Proving the Value of Safety: Justification and ROI of Safety Programs and Machine Safety Investments," explains the key elements of effective risk management and programs, such as occupational safety, environmental safety and equipment safety. It also reviews worker's compensation and gives recommendations for implementing a proactive safety program.

"Safety measures help protect people as well as a company's bottom line, because reducing accidents and safety incidents boosts morale - and, less machine downtime means greater production,” said Dan Hornbeck, manager of safety business development at Rockwell Automation.
