PinnoThin's weight management ingredient gains industry recognition
At Health Ingredients Europe 2010 between November 16 and 18 in Spain, Lipid Nutrition will highlight its innovative ingredient for weight management, Clarinol CLA.
In 2010 the innovative ingredient was launched successfully in a yogurt in the US, proven safe by the EFSA and received an award for best new ingredient for dairy foods and beverages at the 2010 Global Dairy Conference.
The ingredient can be incorporated into dietary supplements and sensational functional dairy, beverage and bakery applications to provide a 'body shaping' effect, by decreasing body fat and increasing lean muscle.
The company has also developed 'ready to market' concepts to help food companies in speeding up the process to market.
The company used the results from multiple market research studies to find out how consumers perceive the benefits of Clarinol CLA.
"Consumer research suggests that there is high consumer interest in the two main health benefits of CLA - to reduce body fat and increase lean muscle", says John Kurstjens, global group manager marketing.
