Weighpack introduces an integrated system that features a 14 head Primo Weigher and dual VS horizontal baggers. To reach required speeds, WeighPack reduced product travel time between the scale and bagger by eliminating product spiraling with individual lane chutes, and using a catch box system that allows the product to be double staged. These additions increased production rates by 40%, successfully cycling at more than 60 bags per minute of pita chips in increments of 7.05 oz. The VS bagger automatically positions a pre-made wicketed bag for loading. After the product has filled the bag, the VS bagger side shifts the bag to the sealer, positions a new one and repeats the cycle.
