New tray erector
Eagle Packaging Machinery recently developed a tray erector, Vassoyo Air, for showcase trays. To successfully erect a strong and durable showcase tray, Eagle developed a method to form double-walled side panels and a triple-walled end panel from a flat corrugated blank. This was achieved by folding the tuck in panels at 90 degrees before the blank is moved through feed rollers and where glue is applied to the four panels. The vertical panel is later folded and placed flat against the side panels. The blank is pushed through the forming section of the Vassoyo Air where the last flaps are folded into place, completing the showcase tray. Vassoyo Air forms cartons from 6” to 11” deep at speeds of up to 20 trays per minute. It is designed with quick changeover features, Omron controls and Nordson ProBlue glue system.
