Krones receives 3 awards from TÜV SÜD

Krones AG was awarded three major accreditations by TÜV SÜD at Drinktec 2009 in Germany.

Krones received certificates for the integrated management system (IMS), the sustainability report and the enviro sustainability program.

IMS accreditation combined the existing quality management systems into one integrated system for quality (DIN EN ISO 9001), environmental protection (DIN EN ISO 14001) and occupational safety (BS OHSAS 18001) which was then validated by TÜV SÜD.

During the IMS accreditation process TÜV SÜD audited the extent to which sustainable aspects are integrated into the management systems, enabling the sustainability report for 2008 to be successfully validated and accredited for the first time.

The accredited enviro sustainability program enables Krones to attach the enviro standard logo for energy/media efficiency and eco-compatibility to individual machines and systems.

Krones also supplies an enviro passport that provides a high level of transparency with which to compare the consumption data of different machines.

The enviro mark states that the machines bought have been developed for optimum economic and environmental sustainability.
