Intralox patents boost ranking on patent scorecard

Laitram, the parent company of conveying solutions provider Intralox, is ranked eighth in the Q2 2011 release of The Patent Board's Heavy Industrial Equipment industry scorecard, a ranking of the US patent portfolios of the nation's top 116 innovators in the sector.

Intralox is Laitram's largest operating division and contributes heavily to the company's patent portfolio.

Laitram received the recognition based on the quality, technological strength, and impact of its patent-based innovation over 12 months that ended on May 13 this year.

The top-10 companies ranked on the scorecard include Deere & Company, Caterpillar, and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation.

Of the 50 highest-ranked companies in the scorecard, Laitram received the top industry impact score, which indicates the extent to which others are building upon Laitram's existing patents.

Intralox has been the first company to introduce many of the most revolutionary conveying concepts in the market today and currently holds more than 340 patents worldwide. The Patent Board tracks and analyzes innovation, movement, and the business value of patent assets across 17 industries globally.
