Insights into end-consumers' palates in China

Since its inception seven years ago and its cooperation with the China Confectionary Culture Festival in 2008, Sweets & Snacks China has gradually transformed from focusing solely on business-to-business trading to a platform embracing cultural influences into the exhibition.

Through food sampling, demonstration sessions and interactive games on the public day, show organizers Koelnmesse and China National Confectionery Association say exhibitors will be able to better establish direct contact, hence enhancing their brand image on a personal basis and capture feedback from participants.

Up to 70% of the exhibition space has been snapped up by major manufacturers in China’s sweet and snack industry.

GuanShengYuan Group will be bringing with them their high quality honey products, and White Rabbit milk candy which has long been a household name in China.

Yake from Fujian province will be featuring their star product, Yake V9 – a candy infused with nine vital vitamins; their vitamin C-rich, sugar-free xylitol chewing gum that keeps dental problems at bay while it refreshes the breath at the same time; and also their swiss herbal drops that soothe throat discomfort.

Sweets & Snacks China 2010 will be held at the Shanghai International

Exhibition Center (INTEX) from October 28 to 30 for trade visitors.

The China Confectionary Cultural Festival will be opened to the public on October 30.
