Gum action

According to Japanese history, it was said that that the Japanese used to chew food 3,990 times at each meal. Now, Lotte says the Japanese chew at an average of 620 times at each meal, leading to a weakness of their jaws. To up the jaw action, the company introduced a gum that has more gum base than a regular chewing gum. Sweetened with xylitol, the gum contains 46 calories per pack and retails at $1.34.
