Danisco is offering one-stop shopping to food and beverage manufacturers in SE Asia, at its Asian Innovation Center based in Singapore. The new facility is reportedly the first of its kind in the region, consolidating culture, flavor, freeze-dried, and upstream microbiological research activities. The company says it aims to address the needs of dairy producers by developing cultures that appeal to Asian tastes. The Center will reportedly play a pivotal role in formulating probiotic strains and blends for application in the food and health supplement industry. “One of our objectives is to enhance Danisco Cultures ability to design culture solutions adapted to the specificity of Asian consumers. We will also support the fast development of our cultures business in Asia, particularly in China, thanks to the flexibility of our new pilot plant, which will further increase our speed of response,” says Dr. Leif Kjaergaard, senior vice president, Innovation and Technology.
