Gelita presents new solution for fat-free ice cream at FIE

Gelita has launched Optice to enable manufacturers achieve the required texture and mouth feeling in fat- and sugar-free ice cream.

The product features melting properties and the creamy full flavor that are better than ‘light’ products currently on the market.

In comparison with a standard ice cream containing 10% butterfat, the assessment of an expert panel from an institute showed ice cream made with Optice had positive melting properties, excellent smoothness and a convincing mouth-feel.

The product will be presented at FI Europe from November 17 to 19 in Frankfurt, Germany.
