FiA, Hi and Ni China 2010 received over 40,000 visitors

FiA, Hi and Ni China 2010, alongside Food Ingredients Shanghai (FIS 2010) and CPhI China 2010, kicked off at Shanghai New International Expo Center on 2 to 4 June 2010.

The showing of multiple exhibitions, covering food ingredients, natural ingredients, health ingredients, pharmaceutical ingredients and pharmaceutical machinery and equipment, offered the visitors an all-round purchasing platform.

Over 2000 companies have exhibited in the show, including those from America, Germany, Britain, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Belgium, Italy and Taiwan.

During the three-day exhibition, there were 42,755 visitors from 102 countries such as China, Japan, India, Taiwan, Korea, the US and Germany.

The International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST) developed a conference program highlighting the ingredients industry’s business critical issues in China.

Functional ingredients and their role in combating obesity was high on the agenda, as was the new foods innovations and food safety.

Conference delegates also learned about China’s food safety issues on the global supply chain for ingredients.

The next edition of the show will be in Shanghai, China from June 21 to 23, 2011.
