European sweet makers set their eyes on China

With two more months to go, Sweets & Snacks China is expected to feature more than 150 domestic and international sweet and snack brands, and draw over 8,000 trade buyers.

Besides a strong turnout of leading domestic brands from China, there will also be national pavilions from Germany, Malaysia, South Korea, the Philippines, as well as a number of small and medium enterprises from other parts of Europe.

With a portfolio of 120 "made in Germany" products including innovations such as sugar-free fresh marshmallows and cookies, organic fresh marshmallows and marshmallow wafers with chocolate inlay, Grabower captures both the hearts and palates of consumers around the world.

Reimanns will be presenting its new revolutionary packaging for cheese cakes in ambient temperature which enables the brand to supply this delicacy to Asia's retail market.

Kuchenmeister will highlight afternoon cakes made with natural ingredients, the Baumkuchen ("tree cakes") which got its name from the golden rings formed by layer-by-layer baking resembling annual rings in a trunk of a tree, liqueur cakes, Christmas Stollen and flans.

Danish Coronet Cake Company will also showcase two varieties of margarine-based Danish cookies called Harlequin, which is partly coated with chocolate, and Eveline without.
