Need to separate contents from their packaging with less hassle? Laitram Machinery’s Debagger uses a rotating cutter fitted with knives to make fine cuts in the packaging without causing damage to the package contents. Opened packaging and contents are carried to a separation drum where they are gently disassembled and passed through a sieve. From here, the contents travel down to another conveyor belt for further processing while the remaining packaging in the drum is channelled to a separate waste container. The Debagger can be custom-built according to different requirements and is helpful for industries where bulk-packaged items are emptied and separated for additional processing. Electronic sensors automatically register operational errors thus reducing labor while ensuring production efficiency.
