Cognis opens new APG facility in China

Cognis has opened a production facility for alkyl polyglucoside (APG) surfactants at its site in Jinshan, China.

It has also signed the Responsible Care Charter there.

Along with its other two production sites for APG surfactants in Düsseldorf, Germany and Cincinnati, US, the Jinshan facility will enable Cognis to even better serve the increasing demand for green solutions in the Asia-Pacific region.

The surfactants are made from renewable plant-derived materials such as vegetable oils and starch and high-demand areas in Asia Pacific are driven by the wellness and sustainability trends.

They are safe, combine mildness and environmental compatibility, while also offering high performance.
