Closure for 5-liter edible oil

Bericap has developed a new closure for a 5-liter edible-oil pack for Kerry Oil Group—China’s market leader in consumer-pack edible oil—under its premium Arawana brand. (Early in 2007, Kerry Oil merged with Wilmar to form the largest edible-oil company in Asia.)

Produced by Bericap Kunshan in China, the 7128 cap for a 5-liter PET bottle is lightweight and can be used for the 46-millimeter neck finish that is popular in Asia. A double-clip ring prevents sabotage and tampering by creating increased removal resistance. A tear-off tamper-evident band screw cap with also prevents cap removal unless the tamper-evident band is torn. Other pluses include a non-drip feature on the pouring lip; and a side printing on the pourer, as well as emboss on the screw cap to promote brand differentiation.

The 7128 closure is also being used by Cai Lan Oils and Fats in Vietnam—an associate of Kerry Oil.
