Chr. Hansen, Amino Up Chemical to develop nutritional formulations

Chr. Hansen and Japan’s Amino Up Chemical have decided to work together to create clinically-documented products that address areas such as immune health and weight management. Both companies have entered a fi veyear partnership to develop unique dietary supplements and explore opportunities within functional foods to utilize their strong nutritional ingredient portfolios. The new collaboration will be focusing on using natural plant-derived ingredients to create new products that best synergize the effects of each company’s fl agship ingredients.

Chr Hansen says products from the new partnership will be launched regionally in the beginning of 2012, which the company will be responsible for the global sales and marketing, with the exception of Japan, which will be serviced by Amino Up Chemical.
