Buhler achieves satisfactory business result

Buhler received new orders for under CHF 1.8 billion ($1.68 billion) in 2009, which despite the economic downturn was 5.5% below the level of the previous year. While growth continued in basic food units such as grain and rice, order intake declined sharply in highervalue food such as chocolate and in automotive (die casting). Despite having experienced weak demand in Europe, growth is seen in the Americas (North and South), Asia and Africa.
