BASF launches starch-based, allergen-free lycopene for beverages

With LycoVit 10 CWD/S BASF now offers a vegetarian lycopene formulation for beverage and food applications.

The product is allergen-free, vegetarian, non-animal derived, protein-free, GMO-free, BSE/TSE-unaffected, kosher and halal-certified.

As it is cold-water dispersible, it is suitable for beverages such as lemonades, sport drinks, multivitamin juices, fruit-based drinks, ready-to-drink beverages, liquid supplements and meal replacements.

LycoVit 10 CWD/S can also be used in food such as dairy products, cereals and nutrition bars.

The product is part of BASF’s ‘Universal Formula’ range of nutritional ingredients that can be used in all major countries worldwide.
