Armfield showcases direct steam UHT plant at Fi Asia-China 2007

Armfield’s miniature-scale Direct Steam Injection processor will be on display at Fi Asia-China 2007. The maker of miniature-scale processors says the FT74DI plant can heat and cool up to 20 liters of product an hour and attain temperatures of up to 150°C, with operator controls for variables such as temperature, back pressure and condensed vapor uptake.

The unit can handle test batch volumes as small as 2 liters, protect color and flavor while destroying thermophilic organisms.
