Archer Daniels Midland announces dividend

The board of directors of Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) declared a cash dividend of $0.10 a share on the company’s stock payable September 8, 2006 to shareholders of record August 18, 2006.

The soybean, corn, wheat and cocoa processor says this is their 319th cash dividend and 299th consecutive quarterly payment, a record of 74 years of uninterrupted dividends. As of June 30, 2006 there were 655,685,378 shares of ADM stock outstanding.
