To help food processors comply with new food regulations, Mettler-Toledo Safeline introduces the AXR x-ray inspection system, which automates the detection and rejection of contaminants at production-line speeds of over 500 packs per minute. It facilitates fast start-ups, helping processors to rapidly capitalize on new market opportunities. The AXR x-ray system detects ferrous, non-ferrous and stainlesssteel materials, as well as contaminants packaged in foil or metalized film. It detects glass, mineral stones and high-density plastics and rubbers while simultaneously performs in-line quality checks such as measuring mass, counting components, identifying missing or broken products, monitoring fill level, checking for damaged packaging and ensuring seal integrity.
