Alfa Laval wins SEK 50 million food order in India
Alfa Laval has received an order for a complete solution to a vegetable oil plant in India.
The order value is about SEK 50 million ($7.8 million) and delivery is scheduled for 2011.
The project is India's first complete, integrated edible oil complex, for refining different types of crude oils - from sunflower and soya bean - into high quality oils.
The order includes Alfa Laval's separators, mixers and heat exchangers.
"India has recently become Alfa Laval's third largest market after the US and China", says Lars Renstrom, president and CEO.
"This order confirms the good development we have seen in the country, not the least in the food and vegetable oil industry driven by a higher living standard."
