Alfa Laval acquires Tranter’s distributor in China

The Alfa Laval Group has acquired 100 percent of the shares in Tranter’s distributor in China.

The heat-transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid-handling only sells Tranter’s products, and has a turnover of approximately $14.8 million.

One of the Alfa Laval Group’s overall strategies is to further increase its presence in China. As a consequence of the strategy the acquisition of the Chinese distributor of Tranter’s products was made.

The consolidation of the company is awaiting authority approval and closing of the transaction is expected very early 2007.

Alfa Laval acquired Tranter as of March 1, 2006 from Dover Corporation.
