High-speed sterilization

1 November 2009

Advanced Electron Beams (AEB) launches the e25ITB, an electron beam emitter that sterilizes the interior surfaces of bottle-shaped packaging, enabling better aseptic and extended shelf-life filling approaches for beverage bottles.

With the emitter, surfaces of packaging material are sterilized at high speeds with a stream of energetic electrons. Since no chemicals are used, there is no need to rinse or dry the material. There is also no risk of residual chemical sterilants contaminating the packaged product.
