New no calorie sweetener with fiber

Dated: 1 October 2008

McNeil Nutritionals has launched Splenda No Calorie Sweetener with Fiber, a no-calorie sweetener for foods and beverages with one gram of fiber in each packet.

The product answers consumer demand for foods that offer additional value, giving them the sweet taste they crave with the little boost of fiber they need.

Each packet contains one gram of soluble fiber and the same sweetness as two teaspoons of sugar.

The company says using the sweetener throughout the day can help consumers increase fiber intake easily – putting two packets in a morning cup of coffee and one sprinkled on a bowl of cereal adds three grams of fiber to things that would be typically consumed for breakfast.
