SAFC Supply Solutions says it has added an additional 200 Halal certified food-grade products to its extensive Flavors & Fragrances (F&F) aroma chemicals product line.
This addition expands SAFC Supply Solution's Halal offering to over 550 products, enhancing its position as a premier supplier of Halal certified aroma raw materials to the marketplace.
In addition to religious tradition, the Halal qualification provides food technology and flavor organizations with an additional degree of quality assurance, as SAFC materials provided under Halal follow the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA) standard for food additives.
SAFC Supply Solutions is a total supply chain partner for the F&F market and an industry leader in supplying aroma raw materials, including food-grade certified products in hard-to-obtain quantities of 25 kg or less, helping accelerate research and manufacturing for its customers.

Net sales for second quarter 2008 were EUR 5.8 billion, down 0.8% from the same period last year. At constant exchange rates, net sales increased by 7.3%.
