Cleaner, safer packaging for cooking oil

Dated: 1 May 2008

Zeller Plastik, a partner of Global Closure Systems, is working with Malaysian edible oil manufacturer, Lamsoon, to launch new closures for the companies’ line of edible oil products. These closures, launched initially for products ranging from 1.25 to three kg, feature several innovations in a compact design. For example, the dispensing spout incorporates a drip-free pourer that cuts the flow of oil immediately when angled back. The closures also carry a secure product seal to prevent leakage at the orifice and lid area. To ensure product and brand security, a tamper evidence band is incorporated, without compromising the visual appeal of the packaging and filling line efficiency. As cooking oils are used essentially on a daily basis in homes and restaurants, the manufacturers of the closures have factored into their design durability and safety of use in the home.
