World Halal Trade Fair Promises Bigger Show in May 2008

The Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) is all geared to celebrate its annual halal food show with new ‘faces’ and added exhibits, exceeding last year’s number of 500 exhibiting companies from 30 countries.
It is also targeting to improve last year’s record of 36,000 visitors and revenue of RM200 million ($62.72 million)in sales.
MIHAS aspires to be the one stop centre for the sourcing of halal products and services.
This year MIHAS will welcome the introduction of a new sector: food processing and packaging machinery, making the halal concept in the food production chain an encompassing one.
The show will be held from May 7 to 11 at the MATRADE Exhibition and Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
