The new Krones Checkmat 753 HF from Krones AG, Neutraubling, Germany is a stand-alone unit that uses high-frequency measurements to detect whether a bottle’s fill level is too high or too low.
In contrast to X-ray or gamma-ray detection, the high-frequency process requires neither special permits nor elaborate safety precautions: “Link it up and let it run” after a minimised commissioning time is the reality here.
The unit inspects up to 72,000 bottles per hour with maximised accuracy. It operates entirely independently of the bottles’ material, shape or colour. The company says paper or plastic labels will also not impair the measurements.
It requires 150mm of conveyor length in the direction of bottle travel for measuring the fill level. It can be used with all Krones fillers or labellers, and with other makes.
