GE Fanuc offers data collection software for free

GE Fanuc Automation, a unit of GE Industrial, said it will offer free access to its Proficy®Historian plant-wide data collection software.

The software is able to provide access to all production and process data, which when harnessed, can be used to drive various plant initiatives including equipment effectiveness and genealogy, GE said in a statement.

“Manufacturers are discovering the power contained in the data that exist on their plant floors,” said Jack Wilkins, senior product manager for GE Fanuc. “They hold the key to transforming production - driving greater throughput and higher quality and meeting compliance requirements.
