Thaifex-World of Food Asia’s technology focus

Thaifex-World of Food Asia promises to give visitors a showing of the latest technology solutions in food processing, packaging, beverage and confectionery, cooling and refrigeration, ingredients, food lab & testing, and automation.

The event will feature the five key zones:
• Food technology;
• Food and beverage;
• Food catering;
• Hospitality services;
• Retail and franchise.

This year’s show will also include industry seminars focused on freezing, processing and packaging solutions. Back by popular demand, organizers say selected factory visits will be arranged to give visitors insight into Thailand’s food industry.

The Thailand Board of Investments estimates that in 2006 the market for food-processing machinery was worth $500 million, with two-thirds of the equipment imported. This translates into an expected growth rate of 15-20 percent annually.
