Kyodo Milk Industry’s newMango & Nata De Cocodessert drink gets consumersto open wide with its new‘active cup’ packaging. Unlikesome packaging that featuressmall holes, the product’sbroad opening is largeenough to allow large chunksof jelly to pass through; aconcept that could be furthertranslated into beveragesthat contain chunks of fruit.Kyodo Milk Industry’s newdessert drink also uses coconutwater, which is becoming increasingly popularthroughout Asia Pacific and Brazil in juice drinks.In 2000, only two new products were released withcoconut water, compared to 22 launched in 2006.The 280-gram chilled beverage retails for $1.29.
