5-7 September 2007
Shanghai New International Exhibition Center (SNIEC)
Shanghai, China

Koelnmesse’s brand-new tradeshow International Sweet & SnackTec China 2007 aims to be the triple-threat in its arsenal of China shows, which includes the annual events Sweets China and World of Food China. The dedicated platform for confectionery and snack manufacturing will showcase the specialized ingredients, and processing and packaging equipment needed by the sector. It will take place every two years and will run parallel to Sweets China, much like ProSweets Cologne and ISM.

The rationale seems clear. “As for the Chinese market, it's a gigantic growth market for the international confectionery sector,” Sabine Loos, vice president Technology & Environment, Koelnmesse told Asia Food Journal.

“The average annual per capita consumption of chocolate worldwide is three kilograms, whereas in China the figure is currently only 800 grams. It's very clear what kind of growth rates we can expect to see in China in the future.”
