Crown broadens tamper-evident portfolio

Crown Closures Europe has extended its tamper-evident portfolio. Its hybrid Ideal closure now comes in 40-, 51-, 63-, 70- and 82-millimeter sizes. Made from a plastisol-lined metal disk and a plastic band, the metal disk seals the container against oxygen, while the plastic band's perforated ‘drop down’ section, breaks before the seal is broken to provide tamper evidence.

Meant for plastic containers and glass, the closure is suitable for multiple filling processes including hot fill, cold fill, dry seal, pasteurization and retort.

It can be used for various food beverage and nutritional applications including sauces, jams, jellies, nuts, juices, powdered products, milk-based beverages and milk formula.
