Numico completes baby food divesture in India

Dated: 4 July 2006

Royal Numico says it has fully integrated Dumex into its structure, with the divestiture of its baby-food activities in India to Wockhardt for an undisclosed amount.

The decision to let go of Dumex's baby activities in India came after a market analysis indicated that further investments were needed to build a longstanding, profitable business in India. As a result, Numico sold the baby activities, which were acquired as part of the Dumex deal at the start of 2006.
