"Fill the difference/Feel the difference" is SIG Combibloc’s theme for AnugaFoodTech 2006. The manufacturer will focus on a variety of aseptic carton package series, formats and volumes that can be produced with machine systems from SIG Combibloc.

Fit on a large and small scale

Visitors will be introduced to the small format combifitSmall (200 to 350 ml) combined with the new screw cap combiSmart. This screw cap reportedly meets the growing worldwide trend for on-the-go consumption, and also fills the need for packaging that allows products to be poured easily and then reclosed.

With the presentation of combifitSmall and combifitMini SIG Combibloc will be finishing off its combifit package series in a small format range. This means that volumes of between 150 and 1,500 ml will be available in combifit in the future, thus giving beverage manufacturers customers the chance to position an entire product series in various sizes.

Easy to open – easy to close again

combiSwift is another new spout from SIG Combibloc. This screw cap features an opening mechanism based on a new technology. The three-part spout is applied to an “over-coated” hole—a process that makes an easy-to-open spout. To this end, precisely dimensioned holes are punched into the cardboard in the SIG Combibloc packaging plants before the raw board is coated with aluminium and polyethylene. After the carton pack has been filled in the customer’s plant, combiSwift is applied to the over-coated hole.
