Instron to feature at FI Europe 2005

Dated: 23 October 2005

Instron, a provider of testing equipment designed to evaluate mechanical properties of materials and components, will showcase at FI Europe 2005.

In-Spec 2200

The In-Spec 2200 is designed to be transported to various sites to perform spot testing. These instruments are used for a variety of applications, including tension, compression, texture and flexure testing. To ensure accuracy and repeatability, Instron’s testers are equipped with a drive system that eliminates operator and loading technique variability. The new portable testers are for “near-line” quality control, where they can be configured to perform specific tasks and identify manufacturing defects quickly.

TouchPanel

The TouchPanel controller for Instron’s 3300 Series Electromechanical Instruments is based on the touch-screen technology, designed so that the controller brings a level of simplicity and ease-of-use to mechanical testing. The TouchPanel controller is for simple tension or compression tests, as well as routine, established quality control (QC) screenings of materials and components. The test data can be transferred to a memory stick and/or printed to a local device. The number of test methods that can be saved for future use is unlimited.

For increased productivity, the TouchPanel offers two testing modes: the ‘Quick Test’ mode for simple, one-time tests; and ‘Method-Based Testing’ used for structured, pre-configured test applications. Additionally, QC users can choose from three formats to display results: a new Pass/Fail display provides an immediate and clear indication of whether test results are within specified limits, a table of results and a live graph.

Bluehill 2and 3300 Series Machines

Bluehill 2 software is fully integrated, modular software package. Bluehill 2 provides laboratory managers and test technicians with tailored application solutions.

Bluehill 2’s next-generation software features VersaChannel for data acquisition from up to 16 additional input channels, a new raw data viewer, API (Advanced Programming Interface), user defined raw data and results export and test file export for use in databases including Microsoft Access.

The software’s six application testing modules create versatility and include: Tension; Compression; Flexural; Peel, tear and friction (PTF); Metals and TestProfiler.

Available in 8 different languages including English, French, Spanish, Italian, Simplified/Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Polish, Bluehill 2 is directly compatible with a wide variety of Instron systems, including the 3300 series systems.
