About Us
Profile of Asia Food Journal
Now into its sixth year of publication, Asia Food Journal has been a trusted companion for its readers in Asia to navigate through the dynamic food and beverage (F&B) manufacturing scene.
In 2009, Asia Food Journal was the eyes and the ears of its readers on pressing issues such as the melamine scandal in China, Asia’s growing pains in becoming more sustainable – in going green and remaining profitable, and weathering the economic downturn.
Having emerged stronger with weak links tightened, companies are preparing for the next wave of growth. In 2010, there will be more interest in dairy products and functional foods, as companies such as Tetra Pak and Fonterra take bigger strides and inject more funds into the dairy markets in Asia.
Food safety will continue to be of paramount concern, as representatives from 18 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member economies reaffirmed their commitment to cooperate and uphold food safety in their countries at a meeting held in Singapore in 2009. Information technology (IT) will also be a focal point. In the age of digitization and with a new generation of Internet-savvy users, more companies are leveraging on IT to ensure greater traceability, paperless documentation, operational efficiency and swifter communication.
At www.AsiaFoodJournal.com, we continue to provide fresh insights on the latest buzz in the market every business day, coupled with interactive elements such as photojournalism, online polls, video clips and article ratings. A weekly e-newsletter provides a convenient snapshot of the latest industry news and events.
In 2010, Asia Food Journal continues its mandate to feel the pulse of the F&B manufacturing scene in the region and provide the tools and know-how for its readers to take the next step forward.
